I've always loved the swingarm on the Ducati Supersport 1000DS. It's beefier and way better looking. It flows much better with the newer Supersport than the older squared-off swingarm that was carried over from the older Supersport. These nicer swingarms are very expensive new, and they don't come up for sale used very often, but I was lucky enough to pick up a used one about a year ago and I just got around to installing it today. I also installed a new 41-tooth rear sprocket to replace the 43-tooth that I've had on the bike for a while. The bike lost a little bit of "umph" on acceleration, but I'm hoping the new gearing will be better for my track days and give me a little more speed on the straights.

A New Bike In The Stable - 2008 Ducati 1098
We recently picked up another bike: 2008 Ducati 1098. A friend of mine was upgrading to a 1098S Tri-colore, and made me a deal that I couldn't pass up on this one. It already has a Termignoni full exhaust system with the Ducati Performance computer installed, as well as some other tasteful modifications. This bike is a beast! Lots of power, loud as thunder, and vibrates your teeth loose... just as a Ducati should be. :-)
We probably won't be taking this one to the track any time soon, but it would definitely be right at home there.
If you're wondering, this makes five bikes that we currently own...
